Finding it hard to make genuine connections as an adult

I’ve noticed that making real connections feels harder as an adult, especially outside of work or family. Sometimes it feels awkward putting myself out there, even though I’d really like more meaningful friendships.

Has anyone else felt this way, or found ways to build genuine connections later in life?

Hi, I think this is a problem that a lot of adults have. For me it helped to join groups that had similar interests to me. You could try joining a book club, sports club or doing some charity work. ☺️

That’s a really good point. I like the idea of joining something with shared interests it probably makes starting conversations feel more natural. Thank you 😊

I feel this too. It’s strange how making friends felt so natural earlier, and now it takes real effort to put yourself out there. Still figuring it out, but it helps knowing others feel the same.
