I’ve been thinking about hiring a cleaner to help out occasionally, but I’ve never booked one before and I’m not sure what I should be asking upfront.

For those who’ve used cleaning services, what questions did you ask before choosing someone? And what made you feel confident you picked the right person?

What helped me was asking simple, practical things upfront — like what’s included in a standard clean, whether they bring their own supplies, how long it usually takes, and if there’s flexibility with timing.

I also felt more confident once I saw reviews or got a personal recommendation. That made a big difference.

Honestly, after the first booking, it feels much less intimidating. It’s just that initial step that feels uncertain
