Evolve Community User Agreement

This Community User Agreement (“Agreement”) sets out the terms that apply when you create an account and use the Evolve website, app, forum, groups, and messaging features (together, the “Platform”).
By registering for an account or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. About Evolve
Evolve provides an online community designed to support, connect, and empower women through discussion forums, interest-based groups, private messaging, events, and shared content.
Evolve acts as a platform provider only and does not moderate or verify all user-generated content prior to publication.
2. Eligibility & Account Responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to notify Evolve immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
3. Acceptable Use of the Platform
You agree to use the Platform lawfully and in accordance with this Agreement.
When posting or interacting within forums, groups, comments, or messages, you agree that you will:
Act respectfully and reasonably towards other members.
Ensure your content is relevant and appropriate to the context.
Take responsibility for any content you post, including advice, opinions, or recommendations.
You must not use the Platform to:
Post content that is unlawful, abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, discriminatory, hateful, or otherwise objectionable.
Bully, intimidate, shame, or target individuals or groups.
Share explicit, obscene, or sexually inappropriate material.
Promote or encourage violence, self-harm, or illegal activity.
Share false, misleading, or deceptive information.
Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others.
Share personal data of another person without their explicit consent.
Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
4. Messaging & Direct Communications
Private messaging must be respectful and consensual.
You must not send unsolicited, persistent, or inappropriate messages.
Harassment, abuse, or misuse of the messaging function may result in suspension or termination of your account.
5. Promotion, Advertising & Commercial Activity
Promotional content, advertising, or self-promotion is permitted only in designated areas or where expressly allowed by Evolve.
Unauthorised advertising, spam, or repeated promotional messaging is prohibited.
Affiliate links, referral codes, and commercial interests must be clearly disclosed and may be restricted or removed at Evolve’s discretion.
6. Health, Legal & Financial Disclaimer
Content shared on the Platform is provided by members for general information and peer support only.
Nothing on the Platform constitutes professional medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice.
You acknowledge that you rely on any information obtained through the Platform at your own risk and should seek advice from a qualified professional where appropriate.
7. User-Generated Content & Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform.
By posting content, you grant Evolve a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute such content within the Platform and for Evolve-related marketing and promotional purposes.
You warrant that you have all necessary rights and permissions to share the content you post.
8. Moderation, Suspension & Termination
To maintain a safe and lawful community, Evolve reserves the right to:
Monitor, review, and moderate content and interactions.
Remove or restrict access to content that breaches this Agreement or applicable law.
Issue warnings or guidance to members.
Suspend or permanently terminate accounts, without notice, where necessary to protect the Platform or other users.
Evolve’s moderation decisions are final.
9. Reporting Concerns
Members may report content or behaviour that they believe breaches this Agreement, is unlawful, or is harmful.
Reports will be reviewed within a reasonable timeframe and handled confidentially where possible.
10. Data Protection & GDPR
Evolve processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Personal data is collected and processed for purposes including account management, community participation, communications, and platform improvement.
The lawful bases for processing may include consent, contractual necessity, and legitimate interests.
You have rights under UK GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability.

11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Evolve shall not be liable for:
Any loss or damage arising from user-generated content.
Any reliance placed on information shared by other members.
Any interactions or disputes between members, whether online or offline.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability where it cannot be excluded under UK law.
12. Changes to This Agreement
Evolve may amend this Agreement from time to time. Any changes will be effective once published on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising in connection with this Agreement.
