Wake-up times

What time does everybody wake up and go to bed? Just interested in people’s routines and how it affects productivity.

I usually wake up around 6:30am and try to be in bed by 10:30 or 11pm. I’ve noticed that when I stick to that routine, my mornings feel calmer and I’m more focused during the day. If I sleep later than that, everything just feels a bit harder the next day.

I usually wake up around 7. I’ve realised I really value a slow morning — I like having my tea peacefully and doing a bit of yoga before the day properly begins. It just gives me a fresher start mentally.

I function well on about 6 hours of sleep, so I usually go to bed around 11. I prefer doing some light reading before sleeping instead of scrolling — it helps me wind down better.

I’ve noticed that how I start my morning affects my whole day more than the exact number of hours I sleep.

So true, how we start our mornings affect a lot. I am still trying to think which way to go. I used to be a night owl and do my critical tasks at night that needed more concentration but now i am trying to change to be a morning person which is working one way as in i have started sleeping early however still struggling to be up by 6am. Any suggestions ladies?

I completely relate to this! I used to be such a night owl too — I’d do my best focused work late at night. Even now, on weekends, I sometimes slip back into it since I can sleep in the next day 😄

I think shifting from night to morning takes time. Maybe instead of jumping straight to 6am, you could move it gradually — like 15–20 minutes earlier each week?

Also, I’ve noticed having something to look forward to in the morning (even just quiet tea time) makes waking up easier. Be patient with yourself — you’re already doing the hard part by sleeping earlier!

I totally relate to this. I feel under pressure to be a morning person. It’s billed as being synonyms to success.
